Stockland has appointed former Woolworths chief financial officer Tom Pockett to its board of directors following his retirement from the supermarket giant in July.
Mr Pockett served as CFO at Woolworths from 2002 and was appointed to the board in 2006. He will join the Stockland board on September 1.
Prior to Woolworths, Mr Pockett was deputy CFO at Commonwealth Bank of Australia between 2000 and 2002, and has held senior positions at Lend Lease.
Stockland’s chairman Graham Bradley said Mr Pockett has outstanding capability and experience.
"Not only will Tom bring deep practical experience as a senior finance executive, but he will also bring to our board his extensive experience in the retailing sector, supply chain logistics management and property development and management," Mr Bradley said.
